Dog Training Services

It's never too early to get started with training. With our private lessons, we can come out to your home and get you set up for success.  From the right crates, bowls, beds and toys, to introducing puppy and children, we can cover it all.  I cannot stress enough the importance of building a solid foundation for obedience and heading off problem behaviors before they start. Starting out on the right paw is much easier than sorting out problem behaviors later. 

 We will socialize puppy to new sights, sounds and experiences, begin introducing clickers and basic commands, crate and potty training, as well as heading off nipping and other unwanted puppy behaviors. We'll also condition all the things that make vet visits and grooming easier, by grabbing paws, inspecting teeth and ears, etc. I cannot stress enough the importance of building a solid foundation for obedience and heading off problem behaviors before they start.

*2-3 weeks on the farm

Over the course of 3 weeks, we'll build a foundation for obedience, introducing things like loose leash walking, come when called, wait at the door, go to your place, sit, stay, etc. We can also tackle common behavior issues like jumping up, rushing out the door, excessive digging/chewing/barking, etc. As with all of our programs, Fido's time here is customized to your needs. 

Building upon our Good Student program, we will continue working towards your training goals while enhancing your dog's overall behavior. This program can also include E-Collar training.

Perhaps you want to take Fido with you on outings or vacation. With our Public Access program we'll build on what they've learned in Good Student camp, as they take their new found skills out into public. We'll visit local stores, parks, etc where Fido is allowed, making sure he can put his new found skills into practice. Having a dog that is pleasant to be with in public is a real joy!

Once your pooch has completed the basics of obedience, you may wish to continue on with your training to a more advanced level. While you may not be looking to enter a precision obedience ring, having a dog that will respond, off-leash, to your commands can make life a whole lot easier. Trips to the park or to the lake become much more enjoyable for both you and your pooch. This program includes the e-collar. Our E-Touch System is a safe and gentle way of using electronic (E) collars.

All of our programs include lots of training for you and your family. The truth is, for you to be successful, we must spend time training you on how to follow through. When Fido comes home, we will spend a few hours with you going over everything that they've learned. We will also cover how dogs think, communicate and interact with the world around them. We can also help you with the right choice in food, toys, tools and gear.

 In one, 3 hour session, I can help you make quick improvements in your dog's behavior and help you build a better bond. The lesson is completely customized to fit your dog and needs. We can cover leash pulling, resource guarding, jumping up, even aggression and reactivity. Let me help you bring peace back to your home and build a better bond with your beloved pooch

In a series of private lessons, we can help you set up a strategy and gain some control. Oftentimes our dogs aren't giving us a hard time, they're actually having a hard time. We can help you both.
